It's tomorrow!

I have collected my race pack and - as of about 20 minutes ago - pinned my number to my special Katie Piper Foundation running top.  Argh!  In fact, right now, I can even hear them testing the sound system at the start line (which, fortuitously, is two minutes from my house).

Yes, the marathon is tomorrow!

Yesterday, I did my last little pre-marathon run (and got a surprise good luck  present from my amazingly lovely work colleagues!).  Supportive family members started arriving in Brighton for the event.

Right now I am lying in bed, eating carbs, resting my feet, watching films (and pretending this is not just a normal Saturday in my house, but Serious Marathon Preparation).

The weather forecast for tomorrow is atrocious (pretty much worst-case scenario, with pretty strong winds, which can be a killer on Brighton seafront).  Still ,what can you do - right?  given how much money I've raised and the time I've spent on this project - barring disaster - there is no option but to finish.  I no longer even care about my time.

I'm listening to my current favourite song on repeat, which makes me feel full of hope and positivity.  And that's the best way to start a marathon, surely.
